I’ll talk about three approaches with respect to SEO (Search Engine Optimization) hyperlink (link) quality versus link quantity. These approaches apply to on-site and off-site link building.
- The more links of any kind, the better.
- The more high quality links, the better.
- Only high quality links are useful.
I’ve got more than a decade of SEO experience with hundreds of large Websites. In my assessment, SEO link building attention is more valuable to concentrate on link quality.
Here is my rationale:
- Low quality Websites bring more low quality visitors.
- Search engines prioritize high quality links so that content served to visitors is trusted and relevant.
- I’ve conducted voluminous tests and observed results favoring SEO results derived from link quality.
- My favorite trustworthy resources share this viewpoint.

Endless SEO (Search Engine Optimization) hyperlink (link) building is not necessary to drive online results. Occasionally, a company will hire an intern to concentrate full time building inbound links to their Website. This may include regular Website links, blog comments, forum posts, and social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) entries.
Without meticulous keyword, content, and link selection strategy, any online results are usually temporary. Incessant random link submissions are viewed as noise and vague low quality activity by search engines.

I’m filled with veneration for Internet Marketing, especially SEO and SEM.
SEM (Search Engine Marketing) is online marketing used to promote Websites on search engine result pages (SERPs) through paid search listings, contextual advertising, and SEO (Search Engine Optimization). PPC (Pay-Per-Click) ads and contextual advertising cost money.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the online method of boosting natural (organic) search engine (search engines include generic, image, local, video, and vertical specific) results for Websites. It is generally expected that well written listings displayed higher on SERPs induce a more desirable outcome. SEO achievements ensue from modifications executed on-site and on other Websites. SEO itself is free while hiring an accomplished SEO pro to design and administer an intelligent strategy does cost money.
In my valuation, natural long term online results are superior derived from SEO. High quality SEO requires nonstop immersion in search engine advancements, and client Website expansion. SEM paid ads are significant to produce added, immediate results. While it is attractive to buy PPC (Pay-Per-Click) ads for instant payback, sustained examination of ad results and budget is crucial to ensure a PPC program is beneficial.
